Step 5
After issuance of the EAC certificate/EAC declaration, the product is approved for sale in Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
Labeling products with the EAC logo.
The EAC certificate or EAC declaration is your documentation that your product (-s) complies with the rules laid down in the applicable regulations for technical standards and security within the Eurasian Economic Union. This means that your product can be freely imported, installed and sold in all countries of the Eurasian Economic Union.
The approval also automatically allows you to label your products with the EAC label. For many products, it is mandatory for the logo to be visible on the product. You can not just create the logo that you want, there are strict requirements for color and layout.
Rules for layout of the EAC logo
- Manufacturers and dealers have the right and obligation to affix the EAC symbol each time the product is regulated by TR CU and an EAC approval has been obtained.
- It is forbidden to use the EAC logo if the product does not have an EAC approval.
- The EAC logo must be affixed to the product, its packaging and accompanying documentation eg. usermanuals.
- The manufacturer determines the size of the label himself but it must not be less than 5 mm per side. The size should allow all individual parts of the logo to be visible.
- The EAC mark must be used and placed in a way that ensures that it is clear and visible throughout the product life cycle.
- A special EAC logo must be used for the products that are regulated and EAC approved under regulation TR CU 012/2011 “On the safety of equipment for work in explosive environments” also called the ATEX directive.
